The
4th Kingsgrove Scout Group started life in 1959 in the 'Clune Centre'
attached to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Shaw Street Kingsgrove. We
moved to a 'new' hall that was purposely built in 1962 in Kooreela Street.
When the M5 was built in 2001 the foundations collapsed, we moved to our
current location - 77A Shaw Street Kingsgrove, behind Kookaburra Reserve.
This is a great hall, large, airy and well lit with a lot of its own history
having been built in 1959 as 1st Kingsgrove Scout Group. We have always
endeavoured to be a traditional scout group, teaching and guiding our youth
in traditional, honest scouting ways. Our youth membership has grown over
the years, because our programs and leaders are first class and are greatly
experienced in all aspects of scouting principles and scouting life.
Scouting is beneficial to children of all ages. Currently there are four
sections within the group ranging in ages from 6 to 18. We have 11 leaders
that spend quality time teaching our children the 'ins' and 'outs' of
scouting. (see the individual section links for more detail).
